1822 Large Cent. N-3. Rarity 2. PCGS XF40. EAC VF25. 1 dotted by denticle; 18 wide, 22 close; strong inner circle above and to left; RT touch. Head covered with rust pits. Reverse C-SPC-NC-C. T in CENT low; I in AMERICA dotted. Found perfect and cracked through base of MERICA to stem. This reverse is perfect. CC: 65-63-60+-60-60-55-55-55. Glossy medium brown with very pleasing eye appeal. Glass reveals encrusted dirt around devices and contact marks, the most significant are on the neck and bust, just right of mouth, in the field between star 1 and the neck. Reverse has less contact, with only a dull mark above N in ONE. Provenance: RSC Collection, SBG, March 21, 2018 Lot 5617.
